Blanq says it has worked with over 300 businesses

Radhika Agarwal built her consultancy on the premise that companies buy marketing before they have a brand. Her one hard number rests on records she has not published.

Blanq Brand Consultancy sells branding, digital marketing, performance marketing, content, partnerships, PR and growth strategy from a single firm.

The company says it has worked with more than 300 businesses across branding, marketing, advertising and growth consulting. It offers company records and a client portfolio on request; neither has been published.

Founder Radhika Agarwal says the idea came from a pattern she saw before starting the firm. Businesses were hiring separate agencies for branding, social media, advertising, content, PR and growth, and still had no clear direction.

On her account, marketing activity was happening at those companies while brand building was not. Founders were spending on marketing without a long-term strategy to direct the spending.

She says the problem ran across company sizes, from startups looking for a position in the market to established firms trying to scale.

Blanq's pitch is consolidation. Instead of a client managing six suppliers, the work sits with one, which the company describes as a 360-degree consultancy.

Agarwal says the method starts with questions rather than recommendations, and that the aim is to tie brand work to measurable business growth. What those measures are has not been made public.

The firm has not disclosed its founding date, its headquarters, its team size, its pricing or its revenue. No client is named.

That leaves the 300 figure doing all the work, and it is a count of engagements rather than a statement of their size or outcome. A founder comparing agencies cannot tell from it whether those were retainers or one-off logo jobs.

The practical point for founders shopping for this kind of help: ask for the client list, ask which of those 300 are still paying, and ask what was measured. A consultancy that says it begins with questions should not mind answering a few.

“Many businesses don't fail because they have a bad product. They struggle because they cannot clearly communicate who they are, what they stand for, and why customers should choose them.”
